We would like to appeal to all businesses that have relationships with
pet owners and would like to benefit from helping them though the
bereavement process. You will notice the large range of products and
services accessible through us and this puts the Poffins Co. in the
unique situation to offer Nationwide support without promoting any
product or particular course of action.
We realise that very efficient routines already exist between vets and
their partnership with their chosen crematorium and we would not wish to
interfere where these existing routines are suitable. However we know
from the calls that we receive direct from the public that the routine
way in which pet loss is managed does not always satisfy every
individual situation. Our mission is not to promote any product or
particular course of action, but to provide a comfortable environment
where members of the public can talk through their own situation and
have their own personal wishes respected. This can sometimes be general
advice on options given many months before the loss of the pet, it could
be that they wish to consider a wider range of casket options, or
arrange a garden plot to include a personalised memorial, or they may
return to us many months after a loss to satisfy their need for a
tribute or other type of memorabilia.
It is our belief that without interfering with the routines which suit
the majority of people, we can help the trade complete the range of
services on offer to those people requiring a little more help or
additional choice.
If you operate in a business or social environment where you foster an
ongoing relationship with pet owners, or you are in a position where you
may be asked for advice, then please call to register on our database.
We are currently managing clients on behalf of:
- Veterinary practices
- Retail Pet Shops
- Garden Centres
- Groomers
- Breeders
- Charities
- Pet Crematoriums
- Pet Cemeteries
- Human undertakers
- Stonemasons etc. etc.
Due to time constraints, and the need for specialist skills or
knowledge, it may be inappropriate for your staff to handle this subject
matter with a client and it is also likely that few businesses can have
the range of products and personalising options necessary to satisfy
each individual situation. However by giving out our contact details (we
can provide free literature) our referral service allows your clients to
speak directly with us so we may assist at any stage in the grieving
process.
Alternatively, if you are managing clients yourself, we can operate as
an extension of your own current activities, by giving you access to our
wider range of products & services for you to access as & when you need
them.
A full trade catalogue is available on request, there is no contract or
commitment required, we would just like to be there when you or your
clients need us.
We are firmly established as the preferred service provider and liase
with pet and bereavement charities throughout the UK - we operate as
members of the Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA), the
British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA), and the only service
provider in this category listed by the Pet Care Trust.
Our public profile has been built up through our personal service and
has been helped by the kind reports that the press and media have had to
say about our work (view the media section of this web site to see a
small selection of some of the press we have received). We believe that
we have a strong, trusted brand name that can be seen anywhere, anytime
and we would welcome discussions with other trade contacts so that the
service can continue to grow to satisfy the increasing number of people
who are insisting on private, dignified arrangements as they would with
any other member of their family.
